Cumpay was launched in 1999 from the volcanic highlands of Nicaragua’s Jalapa valley. “Cumpay” is the Tawakha Indian name for a rolled tobacco leaf. With a complex range of aromas, a hint of roasted coffee, hazelnut, and leather.
The blend of filler, wrapper and wrapper leaf comes exclusively from carefully fermented Ometepe, Jalapa and Estelí leaves. This guarantees a unique, balanced and surprisingly smooth taste. A hint of roasted coffee, hazelnut and caramel sweetness are to be expected from this cigar. Cumpay Maduro Robusto is balanced and of medium strength.
